The European Committee for the Use of Computers in Chemical Engineering Education – EURECHA – was established in 1976 to enable software for teaching and methods of computer-aided teaching to be exchanged between universities in Europe. Its aim remains that of mutual assistance between universities at the teaching level. Membership in EURECHA is open to academics from any university department (or equivalent institution) which has an interest in education in chemical engineering or allied subjects.
The Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures is a collaboration between the Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment and the University of Sheffield. We bring experts from academia, business, policy and the voluntary sector together to create a sustainable future. Through interdisciplinary teams, we bring together the arts, humanities and social sciences into a sustainability field traditionally dominated by science and engineering, and deliver impactful projects in the UK and internationally.
The Industrial Process Design Unit, of the Chemical Engineering School at the National Technical University of Athens, operates in the area of Process Systems Engineering and Complex Systems analysis.
The group expertise is strong in Advanced Process Design, Modelling and Optimization. The group is certified to undertake design engineering work by IChemE (UK) and collaborates with industry through several projects. Although rooted in conventional sectors of the Chemical Industry (Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas), the skills have extensively diversified in recent years to address applications in Bio-renewables and the Circular Economy.
The Sargent Centre for Process Systems Engineering is a world-leading research centre focused on making industrial processes smarter, safer, and more efficient. From chemical manufacturing to vaccine production, our work helps industry reduce waste, increase productivity, and become more sustainable.
The Centre is named in honour of Professor Roger W.H. Sargent, whose ideas shaped generations of researchers and engineers. In 1989, he founded the Sargent Centre at Imperial College London and University College London. Since then, the Centre has become a global hub of excellence, research, and innovation.
